If a wildfire broke out as a result of firefighting, try to extinguish it immediately by hitting flames with branches, a blanket or some other accessible object. The fire shall be extinguished by inclined blows in the direction of the burned area.
If it is not possible to extinguish the fire, immediately alert the others and walk away from the fire site to the road, forest stigma, country or waterfront.
Move perpendicular to the direction of fire spread. If it is not possible to leave the fire, soak yourself in the water or cover yourself with moistened clothes. If you're in a wooded area, lean closer to the ground. The air at the ground is less fuzzy.
When you leave the fire scene, call 112. A major wildfire will be extinguished by firefighters.
