Depending on the type of your company, it is necessary to choose appropriate fire protection equipment and systems. Remember that, depending on the number of employees in your company, you need to develop a fire safety manual, an evacuation plan and instruct your employees.
What to pay attention to everyday?
- Keep your workplace clean so that there are no piles of papers, trash, or other items that could easily catch fire.
- For smokers - always smoke only in designated areas and make sure that your cigarette butt is properly extinguished.
- Check electrical outlets and cords. Replace if damaged. Do not place cords in areas where people can step on them, which will accelerate deterioration of the outer sheath of the cord.
- Do not overload the electrical network.
- Place heat-emitting devices, such as copiers, coffee machines, and computers, away from flammable objects.
- Remember to turn off all electrical appliances and heating devices at the end of each working day.
Action in case of fire
- If there is a fire, call 112 immediately. Don't wait for someone else to do it.
- When you leave the premises, close all doors to stop smoke and fire from spreading into the building.
- Do not use elevators during evacuation.
- Act according to the evacuation plan and follow the evacuation instructions posted on your company premises.
