Firefighting sports competition "Brave Firefighter 2023"

On August 9, 2023, an intense firefighting sports competition "Brašais ugunsdzēsējs" ("Brave Firefighter 2023") took place in Lucavsala.

Competition winners:

  • In the competition among the State Fire and Rescue service structural units, the Liepāja post team won first place, the Valmiera branch team won second place, and the Alsunga post team came in third place;
  • in the women's team competition - Jelgava 112 call center team "112 Snaiperes" ("112 Snipers");
  • in the youth (boys) team competition - team "LATAKVA 2" from Naukšėni;
  • in the youth (girls) team competition - team "LATAKVA 1" from Naukšėni.

As part of the competition discipline "expansion from a motor pump", participants had to demonstrate their skills in pulling out hoses, connecting them, operating a motor pump, supplying water through hoses from a body of water, and filling targets with water.
